Browser Detection

There are two types of patterns for browser detection:

• Unsupported Browser
• Incompatible Browser

The lightbox used to present the Unsupported Browser message is, itself, unsupported. It will display differently in IE7 than it will in IE8, with the biggest differences being the lack of the dark background overlay and some margin issues in the header. This is a known and accepted issue.

There is some in-page CSS in the head of the incompatible-browser page that removes the footer links and draws the top border in a way older browsers will understand. That code must be included on this page, but it should not be included on any other page.
